3-ON-3, CHEERLEADING COMPETITION IN NOV.   

SOUL TO HOST EVENTS SIMULTANEOUSLY

November 18, San Antonio - In conjunction with the United Basketball League, the San Antonio Soul will host a 3-on-3 tournament and a cheerleading competition.

  These simultaneous events take place at San Antonio College on Saturday, Nov. 24th, between at 5:00 and 9:00PM.  "We think that having the events in the evening will allow for more people to get involved either as participants or spectators", Soul CEO Bobbie Lee said. 

  The winning cheerleading team will have an opportunity to perform at a Soul home game, and along with the winning basketball players, they will be presented with their winning trophies during half time.  Commissioner Mac Claire offered this message for the community.  "These kids need the support of parents, teachers, and the entire San Antonio community.  This is about more than just kids competing on that day.  Kids feel good when they know people they know and love are supportive regardless of what they are participating in.  That support can be the difference maker in what path these kids take later on."

WRANGLERS, SOUNDS IN NOV. EXHIBITION

 The Texas Wranglers and Texas Capital Sounds will play at a neutral site, Tarver Elementary School in Temple, TX on November 17. The game will be a part of a day long event that wil bring the Police Department, DARE, the local Fire Department, and a bevy of non-profit organizations together to educate children on topics from saying no to drugs to ways to prevent fires. The game begins at 3:00 PM but the day begins at about 10AM. Watch the UBL site and the Sounds sites (all of them) for details.
