Second Income as a Chocolatier

These days, every household is feeling the effects of the current economy - one way or the other.  Either someone has lost their job, had hours cutback, or products we use everyday have new, higher prices.  Most households could use additional income.  To bridge the gap in personal economies, enterpreneurial and forward-thinking individuals are starting home businesses using the direct selling business model.  My name is Aimee Wilson, and I generate a second income as an Independent Chocolatier with a world leader in premium chocolate.

Most people have heard of a Direct Sales, purchased from a Direct Sales company, or know someone who works in Direct Sales.  At times, Direct Sales, Network Marketing, and Home Party Plan business models are used interchangeably.  While there are overlaps, each business model is unique and companies may integrate various features from each.  

First, Direct Sales is simply a way to sell directly one-on-one to the consumers of your product. The Direct Selling Association states 15.0 million are involved in direct selling. In the US, total direct selling sales are $30.8 Billion. 

Next, Network Marketing is a form of direct selling, which typically includes minimal start-up costs as well as rewarding individuals for finding, training, and mentoring others as they start their own business. Depending on the individual company, your compensation for growing your business organization varies.  For example, with our company, you can earn bonuses on 3 levels, plus overrides depending on your Career Title and the size of your business organization. The way to increase your income, including your residual income, is to attract a lot of people who each do some selling and some sponsoring.

Finally, a Home Party Plan business model is a form of direct selling and sometimes a part of Network Marketing, like in the case of our company.  We use this efficient way to gather a small group, to make product demonstrations called Chocolate Tasting Parties, to sell products, and to find others who want to find others who want to gather their friends for a Chocolate Tasting Party or become a Chocolatier with their own chocolate business. Guests gain first-hand knowledge by experiencing what a Chocolatier does and by engaging all of their senses, like seeing, tasting, and smelling the Chocolate treats. The best part is home parties capitalize on the latest trend of people entertaining at home more and more these days.
