Personal Development

Again, Lisa and I have by no means arrived, there is a lot we have to work on, and are working on.  We are just like you, working everyday to improve on the day before.  So we really don't want to you get the impression that we think that we have all the answers or have arrived.  We are simply just trying share with you what has helped us in our business, so that you can shorten your learning curve.  Now I am a numbers guy and I have tracked our sales and have tracked trends in our business, and after looking back I can match reading personal development, attending and participating in Church, and tithing to sales increases and many other benefits in our family and personal life.  Likewise I have been able to tracked our sales and see trends when we were not dedicated to these things and slacked off, so did our sales and the benefits seen in our family and personal life.  So when we talk about being blessed, these things have had a direct impact on our sales, our family and our personal life. I can only assume that the same is true or would be true for everyone else as God is no respecter of persons.  So the first step you can take towards personal development is get actively involved in Church, probably the best personal development program you can get involved in.  I suggest that it be a church that you feel better when you leave than when you went in, that you feel hope or a reenergizing when you leave.  I also suggest that you go and take notes as you would in a business seminar, really dive into it.  Second suggestion would be to check your tithing and see how that measures up.  The third thing is to remember the "garbage in garbage out" approach to computing also applys to the most powerful computer made, your brain.  What you put in it, is what your going to get out.  Now this may be offensive or upsetting to some people, sorry!  This is our website and as I said, I am a numbers guy and like Jim Rohn says, we have to face the numbers.  If you think I'm wrong, try it.  Dive into Church more or start if you haven't, start reading the out of the Bible and/or any of the books listed below, and start tithing or check your level of tithing and if it isn't where it needs to be, bring it up.  Try it for 60 days while you are working the system that we have described in the "system" section and see if I am mistaken.  Do the do and then let me know if it works or not.  What have you got to loose?  I am sure that if you truely commit to this process, you will see amazing things happen in your business and your personal lives.  We have!

The Bible and Rick Warren's "Purpose Driven Life"...are both recommended reading by Mr. Stonecipher.  When we talk personal development reading, we are not talking "Sales Help Books."  We are not selling, we are helping people, so those types of books really teach you thinks that hinder you not help you.

Here is the books we recommend as GREAT reading:

Like Mr. Stonecipher quotes,

Jeremiah 29:11 (New International Version):

11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

This Scripture I think is also powerful,

Isaiah 48:17:

17Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
