Lisa and Charlie Muhlenkamp
If first you don't succeed, try, try, try again...is a formula for failure! If first you don't succeed, make some changes and then try, try again, that is the true formula for success!
There is really nothing special about Lisa and I. We didn't know anyone when we got into this business. We just made the decision that this was going to be it, our future. We committed to trying; fixing, trying, fixing and to this day we still use that simple method. It is the same system Jeff Olsen talks about in his book, the Slight Edge...learned knowledge followed by activity knowledge, followed by learned knowledge. This is also the reason that we have taken the certification training over 19 times since we joined the business a little over two years ago. It is not cause we're slow, it is because everyone receives knowledge at their level and then they take action which changes their level and ability to receive. From there you accept additional learned knowledge and the process repeats. You are right now either increasing or decreasing, growing or decaying, and it is entirely up to you which you do. Each and every one of you reading this page can achieve greatness! It was pre-designed into each and every one of us by God. But God only gives YOU the tools to achieve greatness; he will not do it for you. Remember, Miracles do not show up where they're needed, they show up where they're expected. Certainly look to God for guidance, support, wisdom and comfort. But don't look to him to plant the seeds for you, that's our end of the deal. Once you have planted them, it's really up to him. You can't make them grow, but if you never plant them, God can't do his part. This is our business folks, not our up line's, not our down line's, and certainly not our sideline...it is ours. At the end of the day we must take responsibility for it if we truly want success and make things happen.
This website (currently under construction and being expanded to 10 pages) has been dedicated from it's inception to assist associates, just like you, to build a more profitable business. Each and every one of us MUST recruit. As Nick Serba says all the time, "None of us got here without being recruited." However, you must be able to make a living (run a profitable business) while you build your team and secure your long-term override income. This unique and wonderful company allows us to do just that through the sale of our wonderful memberships. If you would but commit today to working within the simple systems of recruiting and selling memberships your life could look completely different a month from now, 6 months from now, a year from now. In 5 years, with consistent activity, you probably wouldn't even recognize it. If our sponsor, just a little over two short years ago, would have told us that if you sign this application today, with in two years you will be speaking on stage (I had never done public speaking) at Small Business Boot Camps across the country, Convention breakouts, from the Main Stage at Convention, and you would be featured in two of the company's magazines (Success from Home and The Small Business Report), we would have told him he was ABSOLUTELY CRAZY!!! If he would have said that in the first two years with this company they will send you on a Paid Vacation to Tahoe and Huntington Beach, we would have probably ran as fast as we could. But it was in Tahoe that we met our good friends Nick and Gayle Serba and met so many other wonderful people in this business. Now, just a little over two short years later these thing have all come to pass. In fact at the first convention that Lisa went to she saw the Women's panel. She leaned over to me and said I am going to be on that panel one day. Just one short year later she was selected. Today we work from the time our kids go to school, 8:00 a.m., till when they get out at around 2:30-3:00. We are at our son's Football Practices, at our son and daughter's Basketball practices and after school games, on our kid's field trips, often we are the only complete set of parents there. I encourage you to learn what you need to learn, do what you need to do, so that you can enjoy the things you were meant to be able to enjoy.
Lisa and I don't share all of this to impress you, all this has come through the blessings of our Lord and a lot of hard work, for nothing worthwhile happens without both. Understand that work is involved. Most people quit because the work was harder than they thought, or success didn't come as quickly as they thought it would. Often associates quit just before they would have acheived success, not even realizing it was just another day, another week, another contact, another presentation away. Success only comes before work in the dictionary...everywhere else it comes first. If success was easy, everyone would have it, so don't be afraid of a little work to secure your future. We, by no means, want you to get the impression that we believe we have arrived, we have not! We share this with you to let you know the reality of what is required and what can be acheived, or at least a small glimps of what can be acheived. As I said we certainly have not arrived, and probably never will. But as we are blessed with success, we are obligated to help others do the same. We are very excited about the future. For if this can happen to us in such very short time...can you imagine what the future holds for all of us? God is no respector of persons.
Lisa and I wish all of you the best and hope that you will commit to yourselves and your families to do what is necessary now so that you can do what you want later! We look forward to meeting and speaking with each and every one of you and hear how you have taken action to secure your future through this incredible company and opportunity!
Matthew 9:38 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest is plenteous, but the laborers are few,
John 4:35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
Luke 5:7: And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink. - We can therefore get from this passage that the purpose of increase is not merely so that we can have increase unto ourself, but out of our increase we can share and help others.
Martin Luther King - You don't have to see the whole stair case to get started, just the first step.
Abraham Lincoln - Keep trying! It is only from the valley that the mountain seems high.
Michael Jordan - "I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost over 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to make the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life, and that is why I succeed."
Fran Tarkenton - You got to stick with the basics, blocking and tackling!
Nick Serba - If your not having success, your either not doing the right things or your not doing enough of it!
Johnny Carson - Talent alone will not make you a success, neither will being at the right place at the right time unless you're ready.
William Feather - Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others let go.
Zig Ziglar - Go as far as you can see and when you get there, you will be able to see farther.
J.C. Penny - Give me a stock clerk with a goal (or a dream), and I will give you a man who will make history. Give me a man without a goal (or a dream), and I will give you a stock clerk.
Henry Van Dyke - There is a loftier ambition than merely to stand high in the world. It is to stoop down and lift mankind a little higher.
Norman Vincent Peal - Change your thoughts and you change your world.
Marianne Williamson - "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
