About the School Services and Assessments

The school offers full day, half day, individual courses and hourly academic programs to    students from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12. The programs offered are based on the Ontario Curriculum, and also include, but are not limited to: Special Needs Programs, Physical Education and Health, Drama, Music, Visual Arts, French, Spanish, Summer School Programs and Summer Camps.

The small class sizes at Johnston Tutorial School allow the school to provide regular assessments  of academic achievement, behaviour modification, and   social skills development while providing an opportunity to foster student independence.

In addition, the school offers before and after school care in a safe and loving environment where students can feel at home while waiting for their working parents.

Evaluation Reports 

Johnston Tutorial School carefully monitors its students' academic progress by providing formal written reports three times a year, a mid-term progress report once a year, and a parent/teacher conference once a year. In addition, the school provides an open door policy for parents to visit and inquire about their child's progress at any time, and accommodates phone discussions about the student's development as deemed necessary by either parents or teachers.

  

Transportation

 

Transportation arrangements are made only by request.  

Please note that payments for this program must be made separately by cheque and according to a pre-selected payment policy which will be discussed when your request is made.
