As an Electrical Engineer, LaShanya once struggled with her communication skills.  While she worked very hard on her technical competence, her communication skills caused her professional and personal challenges.  She got tired of struggling, so she focused on learning how to communicate.  She took training, got certifications, even hired mentors to help her learn.  Now she trains other technical professionals so they too can learn to communicate with power in any situation - professional or even personal.  She is married, has a step-son, and in her spare time loves to travel. 

LaShanya's career spans 20 years in roles including: management consultant, union supervisor, manager, facilitator, and more. Her corporate experience includes: State Farm Insurance, Cox Communications, IBM, American Express, Warner Bros., Bristol-Myers Squibb, SBC Communications, AT&T, the Washington Post, Underwriters Laboratories, Hughes Network Systems, Caterpillar, Avantel (Mexico), NTT (Japan), Cable & Wireless (UK), and more.
