PLEASE HELP THE NATIONAL GUARD AND RESERVE FAMILIES
We know with the price of gasoline and the general downturn in the economy right now it is hard to find more money to give....BUT.
Did you know that many of the National Guard personnel returning to the U.S. after fighting in the Middle East are soon to file for bankruptcy? That is right; Military Reserve and National Guard families did not anticipate having to go active for these extended periods of time fighting in the Middle East. Some of these warriors have been active for three years.
To us, this does not seem fair. We are trying our best to help these families with their financial problems. Most just need a couple of mortgage payments to help, some a car payment or two, then they are on the way to recovery.
We understand that many say, "...Well they signed up for it..." That is true, but even during the Vietnam War soldiers only went on a one year tour overseas. We are not asking for much, just something so we can help these families with a few hundred dollars when they need it.
